Yes. Landowners never have to pay a subscription to view agreements, log their personal checks, download PDF backups, or digitally sign leases initiated by a farmer. The subscription cost is only borne by the managing farmer account.

Are the electronic signatures legally binding?

Absolutely. LeaseField signatures are fully compliant with the US Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (ESIGN) Act and state Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) laws. We generate a permanent audit log (comprising signer IP address, date-time stamp, browser user-agent details, and user-role authentication) that attaches directly to the lease PDF agreement.

Does LeaseField support USDA FSA and other international farm programs?

Yes. We dynamically format compliance summaries based on your farm's country setting. US users can generate a one-page USDA FSA Summary. UK users get formats aligned with RPA tenancy rules. Canadian users get property tax assessment files, while Australian and New Zealand users get templates matching FIRB and AgriBase requirements.

How do automated payment email reminders work?

When creating a lease, you specify the rent due day of the month. If no payment is logged inside the dashboard for the current month, LeaseField's email server automatically triggers professional notifications to the landowner 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before the due date, confirming the upcoming payment. Once a payment is logged, the sequence terminates.

Can we edit the lease terms after both parties sign?

To preserve legal integrity and audit trails, once a lease receives signatures from both the farmer and the landowner, the terms are locked and cannot be edited. If you need to make changes, you can easily draft a brand-new agreement based on the existing lease details and send it for signature.

Where are my uploads (e.g. soil maps, soil tests) stored?

All documents uploaded to LeaseField are stored securely on Cloudflare's R2 storage network, separated by unique lease-specific folder paths. Files are only accessible to the logged-in landowner and farmer linked to that specific lease record.
